This is what happens when you let academics loose on Clement Clarke Moore's A Visit from St. Nicholas (better know as 'Twas the Night Before Christmas). We feel it perfectly captures the excitement created by an 'imminent visitation from an eccentric philanthropist' in his 'miniature airborne runnered conveyance'. And a very 'ecstatic Yuletide to the planetary constituency'!
Incidentally, we've spent quite a few hours at Literary HQ trying to track down the author of this version of Clarke Moore's poem, but the trail ran out when we reached as far back as the late 1960s. If anyone is able to put us in touch with the author or their family we'd be very grateful!
